I started in 2020 :) officially. I technically did side things throughout HS, but officially looked for jobs in 2020. Was pretty miserable.

Same

Does that surprise anyone. Count Dankula was being tried across the UK for putting a video out of a pug doing a Nazi salute as a joke to his wife.

Not entirely, but a lot of the eastern problems stem from being almost literally being worked to death and not having time to date due to the culture. Such as Japan, you're expected to essentially give your life body and soul to the company you work for. They also don't express themselves as much as us in their languages and have a massive decline in annual birthrates as a result of both and more. Similar, but the specifics are different in my opinion.

> Edit: There is some amusing irony to being downvoted for this reply which only states my own personal interest in hearing some information from someone and doesn’t tell anyone else what to think ;)

Being downvoted is not equal to government prosecution. You can be told people don't like your opinion and just say so, compared to having police knock on your door over it. I don't agree with what the guy from the article is advocating, but I do agree that he should not be prosecuted/arrested for what he did.

At that point I believe it would be more beneficial to just have them banned from the site or block them if it's continuous harassment not police intervention. If they go further, then it's not an offensive tweet that would become threats, which is a completely different topic from offensive tweets. I don't like the idea of being put into jail because of what someone else finds offensive. Being banned from Twitter won't make it harder to get jobs and live your life, like jail time / a record will. Saying I hope something happens to someone is nowhere near as bad in my opinion as saying you're planning to do something and giving a detailed layout of someones house and daily plan.

We in Ohio also have literally all 3 at the same time.

I'd rather not deal with sales tax, gets annoying sometimes with cash.

I think a big problem in the US is the terrible separation. Nothing will ever get done with everyone so far to sides and refusing to compromise with each other, always trying to get ahead. Both sides are guilty of it, and It's what made me grow tired of even taking part in the politics here.

I don't think that's the best way to put it. Just because a solution can be simple doesn't mean the procedures in the way to enact it inherently are. Not that I agree with either side here, just dislike that way of thinking of “do it then.” In most governments, even if someone wants a change, it doesn't mean it's easy to enact even if that change is simple itself. Due to democracy requiring you to get people into agreement, you can't just waltz in and go yeah I want this changed and have it done.

Owning up to mistakes is better than hiding them, IMO. I have much for respect for someone who can say yeah I messed up like you did than someone who deletes it (Even if you can't).

Well, I'd delete to remove the disinformation, not to hide my mistake. Effect is the same of course.

> We (the rest of the world) by and large do not care about your culture wars. The fact that saving the goddamn climate we rely on is somehow controversial is maddening. You collectively sound like children arguing about who started and who’s the meanest.

Trust me, it gets annoying to a lot of us over here too.
