You're right. I work full time on Facebook Applications and there are several things hindering the FB Platform. First is the lack of moderation of apps. Secondly, the approved advertiser list has too many companies promoting mobile offers (which are spammy) (http://developers.facebook.com/adproviders/). As a consequence Application ads are seedy. Think 'You have 1 new message' type ads, or "Are you smarter than Obama" type ads. Thirdly, the whole Permissions/Authentication system needs to be improved. The Permissions wall in its current embodiment advertise the negatives of adding an Application.

Even if you disagree with the above, you should agree that an API that accounts for 10% of a site's traffic, like Facebook's, is a struggling ecosystem. Src: http://www.businessinsider.com/facebook-news-feed-apps-2011-...

ergo $46,000 USD

before tax.

Periodically you will find cereal boxes with a 'Free Adult Movie Admission' inside. The cereal is around $3.00 while movie admission is around $14. My friend and I used to buy some cereal, tear off the coupons on the way to the theatre and enjoy a nutritious snack during the movie.

I definitely read "Free Adult Movie Admission" as "Free Adult Movie Admission" the first few times through. Nothing like cereal during porn?

Comments to the post show that almost everyone regardless of age sees the couple first and dolphins later.

what if that's what it actually was?

Combination of fatique and a sense of completion. We can walk away now and say it was a success or we can struggle for another 1.5 years trying to achieve another level of success. At this point we're ready to sell, we're doing it now because it's worth something and we've reached a scalable and solid idea. We've accomplished everything that we've wanted to for our first start-up.

you can now move on to the next big thing and be a serial entrpreneur! :)

Technically we e-mailed our heads off. Still, to this day we're out of the yahoo spam filter (for now).

I actually thought the exact same thing while watching the movie.

Lol, for the first half of the movie I couldn't figure out if he was saying "Winner, winner, chicken thinner" or "dinner". Thanks for resolving it for me.

I've been watching this post closely. First of all I don't think it ever made the top of the front page, which I think is odd for the techcrunch post covering the launch of a YC company.

Either the founders didn't make a lot of friends during the YC dinners or something more probable - everyone knows that Omnisio is a winner. Voting it up only reveals our own inadequacies.

Because as soon as I saw this I said wow, I wish I had thought of that, or better yet, I wish I knew how to do that. This product is going to rock the socks.
