How do you prevent the rise of the far left? Just asking because both axis are as much a threat to human freedom and happiness.

This is general compute hardware as I understand it. It will not go unused no matter what happens. If new algorithms appear that reduce the number of calculations needed per token for an llm they are probably still good. It's not like silicon advances are accelerating.

If it's built in stages each state will have never variants of hardware I imagine.

General purpose compute with an odious partner. I would pay a premium to not fear Oracle lawyers auditing my usage.

I'm definitively not interested in buying oracle servers but I imagine AWS and Microsoft are also building out aggressively.

From my reading I get the feeling it has more in common with Spain and Portugal before the fall of the dictatorships.

It's likely the regime will be denied use of heavy weaponry by the US and Israel. This means any actual popular revolt in some sense could be supported by massive air power.

The Adventure Zone, Hardcore History, The Rest is History, Fall of Civilisations, The All in Pod, Planet Money, Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, Noclip Crewcast, The Retro Hour, The WAN Show and a bunch of podcasts in Spanish and Norwegian that I doubt anymore would care about.

Are there many podcasts in Spanish and Norwegian?

In Spanish tons and tons pick your country and flavor. In Norwegian many more than I expected. Some very good retro game ones that I enjoy.

Thats not bad for a mature business like paypal

I mean it's not like Stripe was founded yesterday. Stripe: 2010 Paypal: 1998

I'd argue that 99% of the "internet gdp" happened after Stripe was founded

I mean for me I compare AI today with the introduction of the Apple 2. It promises a lot and can do some awesome things but we are still at the beginning. Also I am amazed how quickly people just got used to AI. Its still magical and 5 years ago this was science fiction that people did not think was possible.

I think the Japanese are also working on potentially competing technology

Don't think Rapidus is. Nikon & Canon might be researching alternatives to EUV Lithography but how long is that going to take?

LSTC will contribute research (for 1nm) though it isn't clear if it'll be in partnership with ASML or as competition.

Just ban algorithms on feeds. It seems to do nothing but harm. Keep it on pages and put those in their own tab.

The Dutch had more in common with British East India company phase of the British expansion.
