Grab a copy of "Javascript: The Good Parts". It's a short read and goes over the parts of JS that don't suck.

And then try coffeescript which just isolates you from the parts which do suck :-)

For an iPhone app, would a link in the app in an about page work?

To get it looking really good, I'll need to play with the button padding and the font size. This is using mini buttons with large icons.

I also noticed that the thumbs up/down next to each other has the optical illusion of not looking centered.

Good call on the thumbs. I'll vertically center it better visually.

I've been playing with the beta and I love it. Cool idea.
