Good luck guys.

Hi, I have been looking at fluidui which is purported to be faster than paper for web apps. I like it because you the UI is drag and drop. You can zoomout and just make a thumbnail view or zoom in and detail each page. I like invisionapp for stiching together your paper or illustrator sketches with hotspots and an easy to email url that invites you to bookmark the app. I bought Balsalmiq because it was so dang satisfying but I find my workflow is not awesome because I can't play with it easily on my phone.

Right now I just bought a $4 pad of news print from BLICK. It's cheap and I can use it on the airplane which is where I'll be tomorrow. HTH!

I vote for link bait though I believe the author is authentic in her frustration. I like the suggestions at the end of her article.

To share a personal reflection, I just applied to speak at a conference in June. I submitted two ideas and I have many more I could share. I would love if the conference organizers were interested in diversity of viewpoints and gave me feedback that would allow my topic to be accepted. I think there is a nuance here between a handout and a handup.

It's the same experience I have applying to accelerators. I want to make it into the next YC class but I may not, not because of my race and gender but that I don't know the technique. Teach me to fish. I will be the captain of fishing.

This is great.

But even though I withdraw my invite, the invitation still sits in their inbox so when a month from now that person gets to it they get confused. My wish is that Linked in exposed the list that they are mailing. Do I really want the random guy from Craigslist joining my network. I'm surprised there isn't a larger outcry to their traps.

I second Coursera. I read you want to become an audio engineer. I am in a music production course through Berkelee School of Music on Coursera.org.

You are getting great advice. Pick one thing and do it for 10 minutes.

There are a couple of digital music courses on Coursera, one that just ended (but is archived) and another coming up in October:

* Introduction to Digital Sound Design (https://www.coursera.org/course/digitalsounddesign)

* Introduction to Programming for Digital Artists (https://www.coursera.org/course/chuck101) (yep, this is for music)

Looking over my YC! application I think I got 5 of these squares but thankfully, no bingo. ;) Still time to edit before submission. :)

I've been listening to the 4HR WorkWeek by Tim Ferriss (because 580 is so much better with an audiobook.) In it he describes getting comfortable with rejection. One of his exercises is to ask 3 attractive people for their number. Hmrph...might try that. :)

As a person of diversity (read: black woman) I like the nod towards transparency. Adding a scoreboard, however may not change the systemic problem underlying this issue. I've worked hard so my resume speaks louder than my hair texture. Though I admit when I walk into a swanky dotcom office my eye does a quick sweep to see if I've just raised the diversity by 50% by walking in the door.
