It's mostly the subgid subuid mapping of ids between guest and host which is non trivial to understand in rootless envs. Add selinux in the mix....

What actual issues do you run into? We have selinux and rootless and I didn't notice the transition from docker as a user.

I have done the same. It's not too bad - just don't rely on LLMs to design your quadlets or systemd unit files. Read the docs for the exact podman version you use and it's pretty okay.

As per blog post:

"PebbleOS took dozens of engineers working over 4 years to build..."

The link is under a paywall, though.

The original is not paywalled for me!?

The original showed me a "We have updated our terms" pop-up over a cookie permission pop-up over a login overlay.

In that case he is not acting as a chief engineer, rather as a procurement or purchaser. Chief engineer is not a role where you can simply pass on engineering responsibility to third party.

In contexts where "engineer" is a licensed title like "doctor of medicine" and "attorney at law", sure.

But the point of credentials like these is not only that they're shorthand for a range of requirements (degree granted by appropriately accredited institution, passed licensing exam, insured, practice complies with relevant professional standards, etc.), but also that they're issued by organizations that have mechanisms in place to verify that a particular applicant actually possesses the credential in question, e.g.,

Its explicitly said in the article that its a misspelling.

Yes, I read that, and I obviously disagree with the article as well.

"ThinkPad® X260 will go as long as you do with over 21 hours of continuous battery life". Thats a quote from Lenovo website from 2018. I can confirm this was in practice the case with extended battery pack.

Doing what kind of work? And with what kind of screen brightness?

I like Lenovo laptops but I never got that kind of battery life on them I got maybe half or sometimes only a third of what they advertised.

Well we do a version with multiple uplink technology option and a full SDK[1]. The market is actually quite segmented depending on the final use case. This is IMO mostly because of the price of these devices. The CO2 probe itself is costly especially if metrologically calibrated so if you want one for every room in the school / office / home its not insignificant investment.

I'll include a link to our datasheet [1] as to actually answer the question hoping Im not breaking HN rules.

Interesting. Illegal where? Mind elaborating on this?

Thanks for this comment, made me realize people actually look at it, so I finally created my portfolio there. Would love if you could look at it again and provide any feedback
