Care to elaborate? AFAIK C/C++ emerged as the alternative to Pascal way back when. No sense moving backwards--it's clear Rust is on track to displace several common uses for C/C++.
Applications made in Electron are not professional. I am shocked anybody uses such applications. Electron is basically a web browser displaying a web page.
Why do you use buggy C++ and proprietary Qt when there is superior alternative called Free Pascal + Lazarus?
It produces cross-platform GUI (Windows, Linux, Mac) using native GUI control (QT does not). Pascal is also readable and Pascal programs are not full of exploits like C++ software.
I actually loved Delphi back in the day for Windows development. It was quick and easy. My biggest issue with FPC/Lazarus is that the technology isn’t popular compared to C++. In my experience, the library ecosystem, etc. just isn’t as large and it’s harder to find support for.
This already exists, it is called Free Pascal + Lazarus.
