I've quit after several years of burn out at one of the FAANGs. I haven't touched any programming since then. I have travelled a bit, read books, played games, dated. And I don't want to go back to work at all. Thanks to having most of assets in tech stocks my portfolio is worth more than it was when I quit. Was it a good decision? No, it was the best. Staying at job would not bring me any value, only more burn out.
