“We are also hiring a few mid-career engineers. This is not the typical startup gig; you’ll get no equity, your employer will burn through their funding as quickly as possible, our TAM is declining by millions daily, and successful execution in your job duties will see all of us unemployed within months. If that sounds interesting, drop us a line and we’ll get back to you in the next few days as dust settles.”

Very Shackleton!

I'm happy to answer questions if anyone has them.

Hey Patrick, really amazing work at filling a need government isn’t nimble enough to. Have you had any success reaching out to data providers to have them directly free in structured data? I’m curious as to how amiable providers who have been providing data through PDFs and Facebook would be to such capabilities.

Signing up to volunteer, thanks for posting this!

We have data sharing agreements with some entities in the ecosystem, and get structured data from them. We're in discussions with others. Various entities in the ecosystem move at various rates, and unfortunately a lot of individual providers are more technically constrained than we are; that's why we effectively put-an-API-on-top-of-them for the rest of the ecosystem.

If the only way they have to publish availability is via faxes well rolls up sleeve I have a fax machine, like any good Japanese salaryman.

This is great. Congratulations. We have the same issues in Canada. I suspect it is global. We shall watch your progress!
