‘Factorio’ studio facing backlash after £140 price increase in Russia (nme.com)

Interestingly, they have recently (maybe on the same day?) also increased the price in the UK from £21.00 to £25.00, and also without any notice or acknowledgement... [1]

I find this surprising, coming from a company that takes particular pride in not running sales, and where their rationale for this is that they don't want different people to pay different prices for the same game [2, as I commented on another HN discussion here]

I wonder if this has anything to do with volatility in the Ruble, and was just an algorithmic glitch
