Going from 2016 to today (2022) is three more doublings, which would be 64GB of RAM -- and that is an available configuration in laptops such as the XPS 17 or the MacBook Pro. That's not even considering desktops (which can handle 128GB) or workstations (which can reach terabytes).


8GB in ‘16 would be a nice amount - 64GB seems a bit high for me today. And 8GB in 16 was common but I feel 64GB today is relatively rare.
