I think you will find if you start adding design pattern modules or methodology modules. The people on the side of cs will moan about it being watered down.

If you don't add them, the people on the side of software engineering, will say it's not relevant to business needs.

If you try to compromise they both moan about university not being relevant...

Design and methodology can be learned, but are hard to teach.

And they are even harder to teach inside science or engineering schools.
