I saw that it was from sourceforge and never even bothered clicking so as to not give them traffic. Will the taint ever leave Sourceforge? I think not, they squandered any good will forever.


Who is "they"? Afaik they're under new ownership that doesn't have anything to do with the past shady practices.


Is there any kind of browser extension that detects this sort of spam?

I know that's a really tall order, but I'd love some kind of tool that tries to do something close to this, even if it's just a listing of other sites that have the same text with a button click.
