You don't pay tax twice under the (still ridiculous) American system, the IRS does credit you for whatever foreign taxes you've paid. I'm not sure if it's 1:1 but there is a credit.


I have to pay US taxes past $120k (this year - it was $112k last year) regardless of having already paid taxes on the full amount in Estonia.


You are right there is an inflation-adjusted cap for the exclusion, thank you for the correction!
