2009 firefox icon was peak firefox, a shame they chose to jump the "everything must be flat and devoid of contrast and detail" bandwagon, same goes for the rest of the UI.

Even back in elementary school most of us could instantly recognize the classic logo without ever having used the browser, it was just that recognizable.

A shame the new logo feels so generic, though maybe its just as recognizable to today's youth as the old one was.
