Are there any possible legal repercussions? I mean, yeah, if they made upwards of 12 million dollars from their site then banning it from reddit isn't exactly going to hurt them...

I guess Reddit could complain to the DA and press charges under CFAA, but the irony would probably cause the internet to implode.

Reddit users were a humongous part of their visitor-base, though. I don't know of many people outside of Reddit who have heard about them.
