When I'm giving feedback, I usually don't want the developer to tell me why it is wrong. I don't mean that in the sense that my perspective is correct and my feedback is never wrong, I mean that if I am irritated enough about something to report it as a flaw, the last thing I am going to want to do is engage in a debate about it.

BTW, discourse infinite scroll could behave better when the user input is the down arrow on the scroll bar.
