This is essentially asking - are you willing to lie to get this job.



Ideal gamed answer, both true and good enough to satisfy AirBnB: "no I would spend all my savings traveling around the world to exotic and unusual places, and hacking on open source projects as time and net access permitted."


Exactly. And it seems like you would not want to hire the person who says "yes" because you know that person is a liar. But I guess Airbnb worked out anyway.


And what a small price to pay for a job! Why accept anyone who would fail to pay that price? I cannot think of a single reason.

He would also tell people that he didn't believe in work-life balance.


That sounds to me abuse of power even coming up with that question.
